What is the cheapest way to get a digital SLR?

And do not say steal, I am a student photographer, and I camera Canon digital standard, but wan't something with more optical zoom can be digital. I have a film Canon SLR that my mother and, frankly, is very old and a nuisance to carry. I decided it might be better if I went ahead and invested in a DSLR, but I know that these are very expensive! So, you know where are the best deals for digital SLR cameras, both on and offline? Or if not, you know what's best digital SLR cameras that are in style there? Thank you!

Depending on how you're serious about photography and what type of photography you do. Personally, I recommend a used or refurbished DSLR start. I bought mine second hand and only paid 1/4th of price.I Canon EOS 10D, you can see some of my photos on my site. Thus, for the lens, the only problem with second hand is to be very careful. You have to check and ensure that the glass has no marks, and no dust inside, otherwise buy a new lens. Oh, like you said you have a Canon film SLR, if you have auto focus lens, you can use with digital SLR for the purchase of a single organization and use of existing targets. Also note that, because no size 35mm sensor digital SLR, for so depending on the lens you use, you have to multiply by 1.6 to sample 17mm lens becomes approximately 27 mm on a digital SLR. Hope this helps. PS: To set the picture as a student, no compact or bridge digital cameras, digital SLR u'll need (depending on the gravity that is as I said). Otherwise Yes there is a bridge digital camera that gives almost all the functionality of a DSLR, but too slow and the quality is not the same. A device for Canon Photo Bridge, For example, Canon PowerShot G series and Canon PowerShot S2IS.
